This week it was reported that press outlets were complaining about lack of access to Barack Obama. It reminded of a piece I wrote back in January and wasn't able to sell called "Journalism Noir," where I played campaign reporter for a day. It's a bitch, lemme tell ya. I don't know that it qualifies you to make pronouncements about policy or campaign strategy, which is the endgame for a lot of these folks, but it's a tough way to make a buck. And yes, I'm disappointed about the FISA thing
Obama setting bad precedent on election finance

Since post-Watergate campaign finance reform was passed three decades ago, it has been a levee restraining free-for-all spending and influence peddling. Others have been tempted to breach it but didn't want to go first. This rupture will be irreversible.
